The family of Carrie Shumway would like to thank everyone for all the love, support, and prayers. Thursday was a very hard day, but as we listened to Carrie's story, we felt as if everyone was family. Thank you all for being there for us. Several people have reached out to us offering if there is anything they can do to let them know, our wish would be to them; smile at someone everyday. 💜 😍

Although I never met Carrie, I do want to extend sympathy to her family and friends who now have a void in their lives. I do know one of her co-workers who was blessed by Carrie's smile. May you all find comfort in the hope of Heaven as written in God's Word and in your memories of good times shared. My prayers are sent Heavenward on behalf of you all who are heartbroken and missing Carrie.

Carrie your laugh and smile will be greatly missed by our Lakeland Watervliet family. How you greeted our patients, words cannot explain how we will miss you. My thoughts and prayers are with Mayah, your parents and the entire family. My heart has an empty place and tears have fallen. But, I can hear you Carrie say, now it's time to go on I will be okay. So now you can rest my friend. Love you, and miss you.

It's with my deepest sympathy and prayers for everyone including family members and friends of which she has many. Carrie was a sweetheart and had a heart of gold and would be there for you if she was able. She loved her daughter so much that is all she would talk about and when she would come to work couldn't wait to show her off in pictures or video off her phone and she would be laughing the whole time.
